Cranberries Cafe in Goodrich

People were friendly, the beer was good and the food was exceptional

The food, overall, was not good. Two chicken items (the same item, two different people) were overcooked and dried out. Another meal, Chicken Pot Pie, had a white, tasteless, cheesey consistency gravy which added nothing to the dish's appearance or flavor. Several patrons ordered green beans as a side dish. They were all cold on arrival at the table. Two fish dishes were palatable, but nothing spectacular. For the prices charged, the food should have been delicious and hot. It definitely was not. I won't be back for another try.

Extremely disappointed! Arrived here at 12:30 for veterans day with my 90 year old clients. The first waitress who seated us never returned. A new girl finally came to us quite a bit later (very sweet and kind). After ordering, we waited a very long time. We didn't eat till after 1:30. My client said something about the wait to me multiple times. The ice water was gross, tasted like eggs. Mushrooms in soup were shriveled/hard and I actually got one that had sand/dirt on it, I had to spit it out in my napkin. My wrap was just that, ALL wrap. It's like they didn't want to fill it properly and give you your money's worth. Because the ingredients were lacking so much, I didn't even want the rest after a few bites. I only gave this 2 stars due to my veterans meal being free and the new girl who waited on us was pleasant. I was going to return to try the cranberry wine with my husband, but that probably won't happen after today's experience.

I've lived in Goodrich for 3 years, why have I not gone here before? This place is fantastic!

Food was good as usual but, service not so fast. We liberally sat at our table for OVER one HOUR and was ask for drink service ONCE.

We ordered several items off the menu and none of them were good. The blackened steak tips were tough and not blackened. The chicken pot pie had zero flavor to it, the chicken breast tasted old and even the lettuce on the side salad either was not washed very well or a little to old. I should of known the food was going to be bad when I walked into the restaurant around dinner time to pick up my carryout and only 5 people were eating inside.

I’ve eaten at Cranberries several times & loved the quality of the food served there so much so that we booked Patty to cater our family’s recent wedding consisting of about 200 guests. Patty prepared both an elegant appetizer table as well as an upscale rustic dinner. The food was AMAZING!! Our guests complimented us all evening about how wonderful her food was. HIGHLY recommend Patty for any event!!!

This is a very nice place for lunch. The mozzarella cheese sticks are excellent. My husband had the Reuben and he said it was great. I had the chicken Florentine wrap which was very good, however, I requested blue cheese dressing instead of ranch and it came with ranch. I also requested that my onions and green pepper be grilled but they came mildly warm. I ordered Sauvignon blanc and was brought a red. So this is a nice place with great food but you need to be sure they get your order right.

Cranberries has the best atmosphere, food and such a pleasant staff. Great place to go on girls night, date night, graduation party and daily lunch and dinner!!

Soup was good. Salmon salad had just iceberg lettuce and one cucumber slice? It was lunch time and only seen waitress 3 times.

Loved their food. Good portions, all 4 of us enjoyed our meals. Staff was very friendly and not only took my friendly teasing but gave me some friendly teasing back as well.

Very friendly service. Stopped for snacks with my sister on the diner side. I got apple Bavarian cheesecake and my sister got fried pickles and mac n cheese. Absolutely delicious. I'll be going back here very soon.

Cranberries is one of our faves❤️ The white fish is excellent and their spinach artichoke dip is the best we’ve ever had!!

My husband already posted pictures from my bridal shower that was hosted at Cranberries, but I wanted to give them a 5 star rating too. We loved our experience hosting our shower at Cranberries!

The owner Patty Plant helped plan my Revival and Gratitude Party. She made all the delicious food, charcuterie boards, chicken tenders, vegetarian sandwich wraps, fruit salad, cream puffs and gourmet chocolate brownies. She provided Mason jars for my flowers and easels for my art. I highly recommend her and Cranberries Cafe in Goodrich.

We held my fiance's bridal shower at Cranberries Cafe. The location was amazing as it is very central to the thumb and Detroit. The atmosphere of Cranberries was very cute and quaint. We love wine so we were very impressed by their wine decor and murals. Patty was accommodating and a breeze to work with. The event went very smoothly and everyone complimented the venue. Thank you!

OMG! Their wine dinner was fabulous. Informative wine descriptions and the food was superb. Great service. Almost hate to let people know about this great little secret!

Wish I could give zero stars. During this quarantine your employees are going to be working Easter Sunday. They should be at home with their families. This is sad. Food is always good but this is just very sad

Worst chicken pot pie I think I've ever had. VERY Blan, absolutely no flavor, and under the top crust the ingredients were mush, just like baby food, Never Again!!!!!

Great food, great service. The bartender Chris was very pleasant and delightful. Will definitely come back and highly recommend Cranberries. The bistro steak was the most tender I've ever had. The atmosphere was warm with nice live music in the background.

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time, and we'll be coming back. We didn't get an appetizer, but we each had a small spinach salad and it was really yummy. I got the bowl of the day, which had shrimp, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, with olive oil in it. I had to add a bit of salt and pepper to it, but it was really good. I think my boyfriend got the Bistro steak. He got it cooked medium rare (more on the rarer side), and it was cooked perfectly. He really enjoyed it. His only thought was that the steak could have been sliced nicely for presentation. He got fries with his steak. I got the Almond Joy martini, and that was really nice. Loved the coconut on top. Was going to get Swantini martini, but I got the cranberry wine which was nice and sweet. We'll have to check them out for lunch sometime. We went in a little before 9pm, so it was quiet, but it was nice. The staff were friendly, and my boyfriend and I absolutely love the look of the bar. Just beautiful. 🙂

Everything I have tried here has been excellent. The house cranberry wine is wonderful. The service is great. Cranberries is one of my favorite go to restaurants. They can also accommodate large groups.

If you like cranberries then this place is quite good. If you're just ok with cranberries or don't like them it's still a place you might enjoy. Many food choices do have cranberries in one way or another in the preparation. There are a few choices that don't. Staff was friendly & attentive. Food was good.

Fantastic restaurant with super cool bar. Very economical prices. Just did a Euchre party there for charity with great food and super fun times. Great Value too. I highly recommend everything about this restaurant and its owners.

Great people, good food. Sweet little small town cafe

Service was unbearably slow, but food was incredibly good. Excellent house salad. Tuscan Chicken was outstanding. Peanut butter pie was a great dessert. Don't know why I keep forgetting how wonderful this place is. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere ( sorry Goodrich), but it's worth the drive.

Good food. Could be a lot cleaner. Flies and unclean tables.
